READ, READ, READ

Read for at least 30 minutes a night with your child and check for understanding. Click below to see why nightly reading is important.

Practice Reading Strategies

Encourage students to use the strategies taught at the parent academy. Remember how the teachers applied them.

Get Extra Help

Discuss possible tutoring options with your child's teacher. Make sure your child is getting everything they need to be successful.

Communicate

Stay in constant communication with the teachers. Know your child's reading level and do what you can to help them advance.

Make School a Priority

Make sure you are settiing the example that school is a priority. Get students to school on time and schedule appointments before or after school when possible.

Monitor Routines
